The MK2 MOD 1-M, revamped for 2018, features the PWS long stroke piston system originally designed for the AR-15 platform. What makes a short gun run, makes a long gun accurate- that being said, the MK2 is among the most reliable and accurate in its category. The MK2 line features a free float MLOK handguard with fully forged upper and lower receivers. Lightening cuts and an eliminated forward assist make the MK2 MOD 1-M line a lightweight yet solid feeling firearm. Accuracy, smooth operation and reliability make the MK2 MOD 1-M line a necessity for those looking to expand their long-stroke piston system firearm collections.

Who says piston AR's aren't as accurate as DI rifles? I bought this rifle in December but just got a chance to take it out today. Fit and finish on this rifle are top notch. No surprise there.

I topped the rifle with a Nikon FX1000 6-24x50 with Nikon's cantilever mount. I plan on reloading for 6.5 Creedmoor but in the meantime I purchased a box of S&B 140g FMJ-BT. To be honest I wasn't expecting much from this ammo.

I got the rifle sighted in and then shot a 5 shot group from the bench. Four rounds were touching with one "flyer". Group size measured 0.62". It's only one group but I can't wait to see what happens with handloads.

So far I'm very happy with this rifle. I may be adding some more PWS to the collection!
